Hosanna is adjusting to her new sister she is happy she is here but not quite so sure what to do with her, she doesn’t want to touch her much yet or give any kisses and she cries when the baby cries so we have to explain that babies cry because they need something, that’s how they talk to us. We are making sure every day to spend special time with her and show her that she is still our joy and delight and just because their is a new baby doesn’t mean she’s replaced or loved less. She is going to be a great big sister!

ReplyDeleteSo wise to do this; even when you are tired. "Suck it up and move over for the new kid" is the message when the even unintentional reduction of attention and reassurance occurs. I would know.
